World Eye Bank / Visual Research

As our eyes are our contact with the world – to whatever degree we lose sight, we lose touch with our surroundings and the quality of life is affected. The Odd Fellow and Rebekah World Eye Bank and Visual Research Foundation established in 1957 supports and provide funds for research at John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Maryland. By supporting this program many handicapped persons have been and can be aided-whether it is through transplant operations or furthering medical research. Odd Fellows and Rebekahs have the vision so that others might see…..!

Living Legacy Program – by caring and knowing about the environment provides an opportunity for the earth to have less air pollution and to replenish the environment – thus a better environment for all. This program allows hands on for individual participation in planting of trees .

United Nations Pilgrimage for Youth Program is sponsored by the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs providing a valuable experience in international relationships to high school students. Students gain first hand knowledge and a better understanding of the beginning and development of our countries and with this knowledge – comes the realization that we have a common purpose to promote good will and preserve peace. Students develop a world awareness and an appreciation of our heritage that can only benefit our future.

Arthritis Project - providing dollars for research to combat the pain and suffering of this debilitating disease affecting thousands of lives each day. By so doing – the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs are providing help to individuals and furthering our commitment to improve the quality of life of others!
